Enhancing the lives of Texans
since 1934.
The Lower Colorado River Authority was created to serve Texans — water, power, community — for more than nine decades without state tax dollars.
Our Mission
"To enhance the quality of life of the Texans we serve through water stewardship, energy and community service."
Values
How we work.
Stewardship
We balance water supply, flood control, environmental health, power reliability, and recreation — for today and generations to come.
Reliability
Texans rely on LCRA for water, power, and public-safety telecommunications. We operate every facility to deliver when it matters most.
Public purpose
Without taxing authority, we reinvest earnings into the communities, infrastructure, and conservation programs we were created to serve.
Safety
Employee and public safety is our foundation — from dam operations to transmission line crews to our certified labs.

Power

Land
